HR Console
The HR Console is the administrative hub of BeneSmart. From here HR controls all back-office functionality and monitors benefit activity.
Configure – Our BeneSmart Implementation Team helps you configure the BeneSmart Engine to mirror your business practices and control eligibility, workflows and deductions based on class, business unit, location or other criteria. As a result, your employees are presented with the correct information while concurrently transmitting up-to-date information to carriers.
Communicate – BeneSmart’s content management allows you to provide employees with documents, forms, personalized email communication, Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), hints, Q&A info, links and video clips to create a round-the-clock, customized participant experience.
Analyze – A robust reporting engine allows for easy report generation and downloads. Graphs and charts help you to track employee selections as well as utilization rates over time to ensure talent retention and measure the economic value of your benefit plans. Choose from nearly 25 standard reports, downloadable in a variety of familiar file types. You can also access a wide array of variables to create custom reports and save a favorite report to re-run on demand.
Reconcile – In an era of increased economic pressure and financial oversight, strong controls are essential. BeneSmart calculates the billing and adjustments for each covered person and produces consolidated billing with drill down capabilities. Gone are the days of individually auditing each carrier invoice separately. Our automated reconciliations generate an average annualized savings of 1% (and often more) for all our clients who use the BeneSmart platform.
Administer & Support – Authorized human resources users can administer controls and reporting according to their system-defined level of authority. HR users can address employee questions using the HR console to access employee records. The console also provides census-related reports useful for putting coverage lines out to bid, all just a click away.

The Employee Portal is an employer-branded, web-based enrollment and information hub.
Enroll – BeneSmart guides employees, step-by-step, through the process of enrolling and changing benefits while validating entered information. The browser interface delivers a near zero learning curve – providing employees 24/7 access to their benefits information.The on-demand architecture allows employers tochange content on-the-fly.
Manage – Online life event functions allow employees to perform self-service changes authorized by the employer such as enrollment, entering a Life Event (creating a qualified new dependent, adding or ending coverages, and other maintenance activities).
Compare – Interactive decision support tools allow employees to model their heath care and benefit utilization, forecast costs and make decisions between alternative plans and programs.
